From: papa

Hello Huretta how are you.
You look well and I guess
you are well. I am well
all except my back stomach
two sides & my nose. I have
an awful bad cold & I have
blowed my nose so much
that it is as red as can
be. What are you all doing
& is Tommie, Harriett & Mildred mean.
If they are you tell me & I
will not bring them anything.
You never said what for me
to bring you, so guess I
cant' bring anything as don't
know what to bring. You
better tell me so I will
know. Say is Lela got her a
feller. I bet she has. Who is it,
Is Hugh K still going with
Hazel B. & has Mabel go her
a sweetie. Ok say they are
building a concrete street in front
of house begin to put down
concrete today & they sure are
making some noise. I couldn't
sleep for so much noise so
I just got up & am watching
them. I got up at 1:30 so
you see I didn't sleep much
but I can't sleep in day time
anyway you know. Now you
you said I ought to write you as
many pages as you do me
If I was to & Mama & Tommie
Harriett & Mildred all it would take
about one half of tablet to write
a letter & about 25c postage
so you see it would soon
break me up. Has uncle Tom
got him a horse & does he
still stay in store. I bet
Mildred is fat & sweet aint
she? I bet she favors a wop
don't she. Now you be sure and
tell me what to bring you
& if it don't cost to much
I will try & bring it. Say
I have wrote so much I
am about to give out. Now
you tell me when you want
me to come home. Does Mildred
sleep any in daytime anymore.

Papa
