Ott Cleveland Joines was born June 17, 1892, the fifth son of William Newton Joines and Huretta McCaslin Joines. He was born on the family farm in Madisonville, Tennessee. He died September 16, 1962 and is buried in the Joines/Wilson family cemetery at Chestua Baptist Church in Madisonville.

Ott was married to Claire Taylor who was known in the family to have been quite a character. She was born April 23, 1893 and died April 4, 1979.

Ott took his family to Ohio where he and Claire had two children. Emma Sue who was born May 18, 1916 and who died June 29, 1920.

They also had a son, Edward Joines who was born ---------- and died ---------.

Edward had a sketchy life surrounded by family rumor. He worked as a “steer” in Las Vegas for a time and had questionable associations and served a period of time in prison. He died without any means and was buried in the family cemetery at Chestua by family members.
