The man in this 1930s family photo is Eddie Joines - he served time in prison and when he died some of the Joines asked our family to send money to bury him but nobody did.  Some people thought he murdered his dad, Ott Joines.  They lived in Akron, Ohio and his mother was the awful Claire T. Joines.  He had a sister named Emma Sue but she died in 1920 at the age of four years. Our mother never heard the gossip about Eddie killing his dad. He did work as a "steer" in Las Vegas to get people to gamble and other sleazy stuff so he basically worked for the mob.
