Fred Newton Joines was born Tuesday SEPTEMBER 16, 1884, the first born son of William Newton Joines and Huretta Clementine Joines. He died on Thursday, APRIL 19, 1979 at the age of 94 years and 5 months. He was born on a farm in East Tennessee about five miles southwest of the courthouse of Madisonville, Tennessee which is the county seat for Monroe County. He married Della B Scruggs on Wednesday, January 17, 1906 and they had 9 children together. He was a very hard working man and as I remember loved a good cigar and was still bowling at the age of 90.

This is the family celebrating Fred's and Della's 50th Wedding Anniversary.

 

The following information is true as far as I can find out but I hope anyone reading this who finds an error will let me know so it can be corrected.

Mabel and Atlas Harrill had one son, Lynton Edward Harrill and he married Annabelle Adams and they had four children. Georgie Rae, Jack Meridith, Terry Lee and Lynn Ann Harrill. They had six grandchildren that I know of.

Georgie Rae married Don Schley and she had a boy named Gordon Douglas and a girl named Karla Denise.

Jack Meridith married Ira Devine and they had two girls, Heather Suzette and Brook Ashley.

Terry Lee married Vivia Harris and they had a boy named Steven Dwane and a girl named April Michelle.

Lynn Ann I don't have any information on.

Stanley and Grace Joines had two children, a girl named Freida Grace and a boy named William Kennard. They had three grandchildren that I know of.

Freida Grace married Bob Robertson and they had one sone named Micheal Stanley.

William Kennard married Jean Armstrong and they had two boys, William Keith and Kyle Matthew.

Lelia and Kennard Manis had four children, three boys and one girl, R. K., June, Joe Dan and Fred.

R. K. married Shirley Martin and they had 3 children, Robin, Robert Kennard and Billy Lee. I have no other information on R. K.'s family.

June married Don Wattenburger but I have no moe information on June.

Joe Dan married Rena Watson and they had 3 children, Kathy, Kim and Kelly but I don't have any more information than that.

Kate and Charles Grills had one son, Melvin Eugene Grills and he married Grace Manon Atlanson and they had 2 children, Manon Katherine and Melvin Dwayne. I have no more information than that on the Grills family.

Elizabeth and William Skinner I don't have any family information on.

Carrie Lee and Oscar Abernathy had a daughter, Joann Abernathy and Joann married Dale Grham and they had two daughters, Theresa and Sandra.

Della Bea and Creed Pack had 4 children, two boy and two girls. Ray, Tom, Rosemary and Nancy Pack. ..........Della Bea also married Levi Springer.

Ray Pack married Eva Hardy.

Tom Pack married Lacey Pack.

Rosemary Pack married Charles Hill and they had 3 children, Dean, Sandy and Lisa.

Nancy Pack married Tom Steele and they had 2 children, Kelly and Joseph Steele.

Ethel and Paul Sloan had two boys, Bruce and David Sloan.

Bruce Sloan married Betty White and they had 2 girls, Andrea Gayle and Susan Lynn.

David Sloan marred Susan Starnes and they had a boy and girl, Mary Elizabeth and Benjamin Paul.

Grace and Hugh Webster had two girls, Annette and Yvette Webster.

Annette married Landon Purdy and they had two children, Alan Hugh and Mark Landon Purdy.
