Obituary

Harriel Lynn Stephens, age 80, of Madisonville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 24, 2022 at Wood Presbyterian Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Norma “Honey” Stephens; parents, Stanley and Cecil Ellis Stephens; sister, Fannie Rae Stephens.

Son, brother, husband, dad. But his favorite name was Grandad. “Coolest grandad ever” were the words spoken by the grandchildren.

He worked at ALCOA for 30 years. He loved to drive anything fast. He enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and riding his Harley. Hunting, fishing (washing off his lures) and golfing were a few of his favorite things to do.  He never met a stranger, nor was he camera shy. He loved to sing and would share a song with anyone. Southern Gospel was his favorite. He loved to camp and go boating at the lake.

In later years, Indian Boundary camping with Honey and family was his favorite place to be. He was loved by anyone he met and will be missed by many.

Survivors: children and spouses, Stacey and Jeff Brady, Stephanie and Richard Raper, Lynn “Termite” and Lori Stephens;

grandchildren, Nathan and Megan Raper, Dakota Raper, Dylan and Jennifer Stephens, Shelby and Trevor Bailey, Erica and Kevin Worley;

great-grandchildren, Allie, Uriah, Darci, Emma and Lane;

siblings, Reed (Edna) Stephens, Ross Stephens, Audrey Stephens;

several nieces and nephews.

Funeral 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Interment 12:00 P.M. Friday, Notchey Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
