Atkins, T.R. (Pap), Sr., age 75, of Sweetwater, passed away 7:08 A.M. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sweetwater Hospital.

Longtime employee of Monroe Co. Hwy. Dept.

Survivors, wife, Charlotte Beals Atkins, Daughters & sons-in-law, Katherine & Duane Smallwood, Madisonville, Betty Faye & Scott Davis, Englewood, Son & daughter-in-law, T.R., Jr. & Tiffany Atkins, Sweetwater, Step-son & spouse, Heath & Cassandra Roberts, Sweetwater, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, Sisters, Charlotte Hogge, Seattle, Washington, Martha Stricklan, Madisonville, Brother, Boyd Atkins, Etowah, Niece that he helped raise, Angie Herbert, Ohio, Several other nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by first wife, Bobbie Atkins, parents, Sam & Nancy Newman Atkins.

Funeral 10 A.M. Saturday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Steve Teague officiating. Interment Haven Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
