Rev. Roger Harold Bunch

Rev. Roger Harold Bunch of Sweetwater, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Monday, April 9, at Sweetwater Hospital. He was born April 14, 1940 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at Viskase in Loudon as a maintenance mechanic from 1974 to 1984. He was a member of Vonore Baptist Church. He was formerly pastor at Oakland Baptist Church, Sweetwater, Watson Chapel Baptist Church, Madisonville and served as senior adult minister and Sunday School teacher of the men's class at Vonore Baptist Church until November, 2010.

He was 71.

Preceded in death by: parents, James Nathan and Imogene West Bunch; sister, Anna Mae Isbell; brother, Kenneth Bunch; brother-in-law, Floyd Moser; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Suber.

Survivors include: wife of 44 years-Nancy Diann Suber Bunch;

Sons and daughter-in-law-George Nathan and Jennifer Bunch of Maryville; Roger Harold Bunch Jr. of Sweetwater;

Grandchildren-Lily Bunch of Sweetwater; Brianna Enos and Kailea Bunch of Maryville; Chase, Kayla and Kelsey Jones;

Sisters and brothers-in-law-Opal Moser and Betty and Glenn Moser, all of Madisonville; and Glenn Isbell of Sweetwater;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Thursday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Tony Collins and Rev. Tommy Self officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Friday, in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. before the service. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
