Melvina Carter (Aug. 13, 2001)

Melvina Carter of Madisonville passed away suddenly, Monday, Aug. 13, 2001 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was a member of South Madisonville Baptist Church. She was employed by Thomas & Betts for 29 years. She was 60.

Preceded in death by: father, Bob Carter.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Janice and Paul Coy and Lila and Bob Montooth, all of Madisonville; Nine grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren; Mother-Lila Ford Carter; Brother-Robert J. Carter Jr., both of Madisonville; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel with the Rev. Larry Gibby officiating. Interment will be in Chestua Methodist Cemetery.
