Burlen Leon Jones of Ten Mile, passed away at 6:50 p.m., Friday, May 14, at the home of his brother, William Jones.
He was a son of the late John and Mary Bledsoe Jones. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Conoco Oil Company in Etowah. He was 69.
Preceded in death by brother, Isaac B. Jones.
Survivors include: daughters-Phyllis Bull of Dunedin, Fla.; Jennifer Tallent of Loudon;
Son and daughter-in-law-Danny and Tammie Jones of Sweetwater;
Grandchildren-Jonathan Leon Jones, Olivia Star Jones, Tyler Andrews, Kinalyn "Pineknot" Tallent
Sisters-Mary Ruth Franklin and Johnnie Grace Couch, both of Madisonville;
Brothers-Jerry Jones and Ralph Jones, both of Madisonville; William Jones of Ten Mile;
Former wives-Margie Jones of Tellico Plains, and Mother of his children-Shirley Ann Andrews of Loudon.
Memorial service will be 6 p.m., Friday, May 21, at Community Baptist Church in Madisonville, with Rev. John Mantooth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jones Family Cemetery, P.O. Box 608, Ten Mile, TN 37880. His cremains will be interred in Jones Family Cemetery, in Bybee, in (Cocke County).
