Jewell Dean Cardin McKee of Madisonville, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 5, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime member of Big Creek Baptist Church, where she had served as church pianist for 56 years. She taught piano for many years and retired after 30 years as a secretary at Madisonville Elementary School.

She was 73.

Preceded in death by: parents, Pryor and Pauline Isbill Cardin; sister, Barbara Eldridge; infant brother; father-in-law, Arbie James McKee; and son-in-law, Steven Spradlin.

Survivors include: husband of 53 years-Jack McKee;

Son and daughter-in-law-Gary and Linda McKee;

Daughters and sons-in-law-Katrina and Ron Cox and Leandra and Phillip Swanson, all of Madisonville;

Grandchildren-Jeremy and Nathan McKee, Amanda Reynolds, Kelly and Kathryn Cox and Thomas and Leah Spradlin;

Step-granddaughters-Savannah Swanson and Harley Moser;

Great-grandchildren-Ethan and Aidan McKee;

Sisters and brothers-in-law-Glenda and Gene Atkins of Madisonville; and Shirley and Wally Barakat of California;

Brother and sister-in-law-Harold and Yvonne Cardin of Madisonville;

Mother-in-law-Willie Lou Blankenship McKee;

Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law-Austin and Mildred McKee, Donnie and Donna McKee and Shirley and Freddie Atkins, all of Madisonville; and Betty and Donnie Roberts of Loudon;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gale Miller and Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Interment will be in church cemetery with Rev. Jim Millsaps officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
