Glenn Allen "Red" Anderson,
age 55, of 210 McConkey St., Madisonville,
passed away 12:20 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 1997 at Sweetwater Hospital.
Member of First Baptist Church of Madisonville, Tellico Masonic Lodge # 80, 32 Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriners. Former member of Madisonville Volunteer Fire Dept., Madisonville Police Dept., Monroe Co. Sheriff Dept, and Monroe Co. Rescue Squad, veteran of U.S. Army serving in the Dominican Republic conflict and qualified as a sharpshooter, employed by Averitt Express, graduate of Little Hiwassee Elementory School and Madisonville High School, was also an Eagle Scout.
Survivors: Wife- Josephine Jones McDaniel Anderson; mother, Mae English Anderson, Madisonville,; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolynn Anderson Mann, Atlanta, GA, Maryln and Aaron Rutledge, Murfreesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Dottie Finger, Tampa. FL; nieces, Deborah, Sara, Gena; Nephews, Whitney, Terry, Greg, Andy; step-sons and spouses, Keith and Linda McDaniel, Paul and Joann McDaniel, all of Tellico Plains; step-grandchildren, Jessica, April, Adrain, Holly, Jennifer, Justin, Cristen, Jeremy.
Preceded in death by father, Ralph McCollum Anderson; grandparents, Oliver Perrry Roberts and Dollie Burris Anderson, Samuel Nelson and Martha Millsaps English.
Funeral 2 p.m., Saturday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. R.L. Davis and Rev. Beecher Miller officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery with military honors provided by the Army National Guard. Masonic service 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
