Fred Lynch MHS Class of 1960

In Memorial

Fred Leon Lynch- Feb. 17, 1939 - Aug. 11, 1994

It has been seven years now since you left us and the pain of your leaving is as great now as it was then. Death is never easy but death at such a young age and so unexpectedly is especially hard for those left behind. It is a terrible thing for a mother to lose a child. In a fair world no parent would outlive their children. Your mother loved you dearly and she still grieves for you. But she has always been comforted by the fact that you lived a Christian life. And she knows that she will meet you again someday, where death won't be a threat to separate the two of you again.

You were the first-born and somehow you took the responsibility of being the eldest a lot more seriously than older brothers and sisters do. You were very generous and shared whatever you had. And being generous with six younger brothers and sisters called for some sacrifices.

Now when the rest of us are together, there is always the emptiness that you would have filled. We remember your sense of humor and the stories that you always knew. We talk of the hard work that you did and your love of animals. And we remember specially the love and devotion you showed for your family. You would be proud of the fine grown-ups that your four children have become and the grandchildren that you never got to see. But you will be remembered through your children to their children. And the things that we loved in you will be passed down from generation to generation. So that in one sense you will always be with us.

We miss and love you and always will.

Your loving Mother, Geneva Lynch Evans, and siblings- Clifford, Emerson, Roberta, Linda, Margie and Donald.
