CLARENCE RICHARD WILLIAMS, 87, of Vonore, passed away 6:20 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from T.V.A., and was a member and deacon of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Velma Millsaps Williams; Daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Lail, Vonore, Vera and John Ware, Madisonville, Pam and James Millsaps, Vonore; Sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Sandy Williams, Madisonville, Ralph and Robin Williams, Tracy and Lisa Williams;  honorary son, Wayne Haynes, and wife, Diane, of  Vonore; Grandchildren, LeAnn (Richard), Lacey (Matt), Anthony (Nikki), Joey, Lee (Jennifer), Melinda, Tinsley, Austin, Lucas (Emily), Abigail, Brody, Braden, and Hanna; 9 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Margaret Haynes, Reba Griffith, Louise Cox, of Madisonville, Edith Tinch, and husband, Gary, of Jamestown; Brothers, Roy Williams and wife, Lorraine, Clifford Williams, of Madisonville; Several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Mila Kate Weese; parents, Howard and Mary Smith Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Zula and Ledford Brock; sister-in-law, Irene Williams; brothers-in-law, Eddie Griffith, Clifford Haynes; son-in-law, Doug Lail; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Annie Millsaps. The funeral service and interment will be private. Rev. Chad Schaffer, Rev. Lon Stamey will officiate. A public viewing will be held 12-3 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
