SENIOR CLASS HISTORY

xxxxxIn the fall of 1956, 125 unexperienced classmates climbed into the Freshman Sneedmobile. We were wishing to seek new horizons, but still troubled at the hardships that lay before us. With Emilie Alexander taking the wheel, we started out with eager hearts and open minds.

xxxxxWhen the fall of 1957 rolled around, 114 members were willing to take a crack at Sophomore territory. By this time we had gained valuable experience and only a few had turned back. With Vaughn Belcher jumping into the driver's seat, we went full speed through beautiful fields of literature and complicated fields of math and science. In the distance we could see a glimpse of the fabulous Senior Mountains.

xxxxxThere was, however, in the fall of 1958, another rough and rocky territory, the Junior year, before us. The 94 that were still willing climbed aboard the Sneedmobile once again. The tires were getting awfully thin, but we knew they would last. With Doris Jenkins as our chauffer, we sped over highland and lowlands.

xxxxxFinally, in the fall of 1959, with 85 rugged and ambitious passengers, Allan Watson steered the faithful Sneedmobile into the happy and carefree land of the Seniors. By this time the rugged Sneedmobile was getting tired, but it happily took us through Senior year.

xxxxxI know each member of this class will someday look back and think of the fun we had on this four year journey. However, the future holds great bounds of success and happiness for each boy and girl and I know God will bless and care for them.
