OBITUARYS

- CORNETT, PHYLLIS COFFEY -----
age 90, of Loudon passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her home. She was a member of My Father's House Church and former YPE Director at Sixth Avenue Church of God. Phyllis taught Sunday school and children's church for many years. She was involved in many ministries in the church including being the top seller of her delicious cakes for fund raisers for many years. Proceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Woodrow Cornett; parents, Raymond and Mable Anderson Coffey; brother, Aaron Coffey, and sister, Freida Underwood. Survived by her sister, Evelyn Coffey Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Denver and Elizabeth Cornett; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Frank Prewitt, Brenda and Luther Cross, Darlene Acuff, Sheila Cornett, Jewelle Cornett and Harold; grandchildren: Kirk Prewitt and Erik Worley both of Austin, TX, Tiffany Young of Loudon, India Eldridge and Caleb Cornett both of Lenoir City, Kenya Stafford and Justin Cornett both of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at My Father's House Church in Lenoir City. Rev. David Thompson and Rev. Hugh Statum will officiate. The body will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.
