There are two Ezekiels in our family line....the Ezekiel Joines above is the Grandson of our Ezekiel Joines and the brother of Moses Joines who is Ross (Papa) Joines' great grandfather. The 1st Ezekiel is the great, great, great grandfather of Ross (Papa) Joines and his brothers.

A lot of the Joines family members were buried in the Joines-Wilson Cemetery
behind Chestua Baptist Church near Madisonville, Tennessee. Chestua Baptist
was established in 1824 and is still an active church

Gabriel F. Joines was Ross (Papa) Joines' grandfather (William Newton's father).
He served as a Private in Company E, of the Tennessee 59th Infantry during the Civil War.
He married HANNAH G. WILSON April 15, 1852.
He is buried in Joines/Wilson Cemetery at Chestua Baptist Church near Madisonville, Tennessee.

  Henderson Clayton, father of Mary J Clayton, grandfather of Nora Colloms Cornett who is the mother of Hiram Rucker Cornett who is the husband of Tommie Joines Cornett the daughter of Charles Ross Joines and the mother of Thomas Darrell Cornett, Barbara Jean Cornett and Peggy Ann Cornett Carter. Henderson Clayton is buried in Old Salem Cemetery, McMinn County, TN .  
     
 
 
  Elizabeth Webb Roach Clayton married Elijah Clayton on November 11, 1813 at the age of 14 in Grainger, Tennesse. Elijah was 23 years old at the time. They are the parents of Henderson Clayton so you can follow the line from Henderson above.  
     
 
 
  Margie Ellice Witt Clayton who married Henderson Clayton in 1852 at the age of 23 in Polk County, Tennessee. She is the mother of Mary J Clayton Colloms who is the mother of Nora Colloms Cornett who is the mother of Hiram Rucker Cornett who is the husband of Tommie Joines Cornett the daughter of Charles Ross Joines and the mother of Thomas Darrell Cornett, Barbara Jean Cornett and Peggy Ann Cornett Carter. She died in McMinn County Tennessee in 1873.  
     
 
 
  Michael Wayne Belcher is the son of Thedore Wayne Belcher and Nancy Helen Joines Belcher and the grandson of Charles Ross & Jessie Mae Joines.
