Served in the Civil War under Captain H.H. Stamper with Wilburn Amburgey. Group was called Thirteenth Regiment Cavalry, Kentucky Volunteers, Confederate States of America This regiment was also known as the Tenth Kentucky Mounted Rifles, the Tenth Kentucky Infantry, and the Eleventh Mounted Rifles.
