Birthday Cakes

Barbara Ann Moore Cornett’s granddaughters were allergic to ingredients in bakery birthday cakes so in 2004 she and her daughter Jenna Marie Cornett Myers attempted to bake a cake for her oldest granddaughter that she could eat . They couldn't stand the fact that the girls couldn't enjoy a birthday cake so the results of that attempt and those of the years to follow are documented in the images below.

2014 ~ Sarah's "Portal" cake for her 14th birthday party with nine of her friends.

 

From the video game "Portal" comes this cake. I haven't played the game but from what I understand the players are able to jump into a "portal" and instantly appear coming out of another "portal" some distance away.

Notice in this cake the bakers created two portals and that some of the candles are entering one portal and exiting the other.

"The Cake is a Lie" appears in the game but I have no idea why?
