Mildred Joines Millsaps

Mildred Joines Millsaps, age 97, of Tellico Plains and formerly of Red Bank, TN went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 7, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Millsaps; parents, Ross and Jessie Joines; and sisters, Huretta Davis, Tommie Cornett and Harriett Hodge.
For many years Mildred was the secretary at Red Bank Baptist Church and dental receptionist for Dr. Don Reynolds and Dr. Anthony Hodges. She was an avid UT Vol and Atlanta Braves fan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Doug Millsaps and fiancé, Rosanne Hawk, Madisonville; granddaughter and her pride and joy, Jessica Millsaps, Madisonville; sisters, Hazel Brakebill, Fayetteville, GA, Nancy Belcher, Madisonville and Jean Owens, Scottsboro, AL; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10. The funeral service will follow at 5:00p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Faraone  officiating. Interment immediately following at Sunset Cemetery, Madisonville.
