This page was inspired by a page in our grandmother's family Bible. She had entered each family member’s birth and death date. She also added family marriages and any children they had along with their birth date. I took the idea and expanded it for the format for this page. Perhaps you or someone in your family has done the same thing. If so that information could be added here if you like.

I know all the different font and background colors on a web page only tend to make it very messy and hard to read. However, in this situation we needed an easy way to show a person's relation in the family.

On this page the background colors are used to separate the different family member's individual family. In other words the first child’s family will have a certain background color and the second a different color and so on.

The font colors are arranged in order to show the relation of the individual to the parents. On this page John and Mary are the parents with the white font. Their children will always show up with the blue font. The child’s children will be shown as grandchildren to John and Mary with green font. Great grandchildren in brown and great great grandchildren in orange with great great great grandchildren with yellow font and blue background for contrast. These fonts always show the relationship to John and Mary.
