She is survived by her husband, Frank Prewitt; children, Kirk Prewitt of Austin, TX, Tiffany and David Young of Philadelphia, TN and Karleen Prewitt of Loudon, TN; grandchildren, Brittany Prewitt and Landon Prewitt of Austin, TX ; brother and sister-in-law, Denver and Elizabeth Cornett; sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda and Luther Cross, Darlene Acuff, Sheila Cornett, Jewell Cornett; aunt, Evelyn Coffey Johnson; cousins, Darrell and Barbara Ann Cornett, Barbara Jean Cornett and Dayne and Peggy Cornett Carter, along with several nieces and nephews.
Ann was born and raised in Lenoir City. She visited relatives in California where she met Frank and they married 2 weeks later on July 3rd, 1966. They had 2 children, Kirk and Tiffany. Ann was a loving wife, mother and great sister to her siblings. She absolutely cherished her little dogs Jazz, Maggi Mae and Punkin. She was humble, kind hearted and wanted to help others when she saw the need.
She was a fighter! She fought for her life, husband and children. At 40 years of age, she suffered a massive heart attack and another at age 63. Her family and her Maranatha Church family believed and trusted God to bring her through and He was faithful in doing so. Ann never failed to give God all the glory for miracles performed on her behalf.
Ann valued her friendships, loved all her family and cherished family gatherings. She loved to cook, and the more people, the more she delighted in her efforts.
Most important, Ann was a true believer in Christ. She stood strong in her faith and was a mighty prayer warrior. The last thing Ann did on this earth July 26th was lift her hands in praise and worship to her Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 4th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Patterson officiating.
